What Types of vehicles can be covered?
- Territorial Limits:
- Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales) and Northern Ireland.
- Violet cover ONLY - includes trips to Europe of a maximum of 90 days. Europe is defined as:
- Albania, Andorra, Austria, Balearics, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canary Isles, Corsica, Croatia, Northern Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Romania, San Marino, Sardinia, Serbia & Montenegro, Sicily, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey (west of Bosphorous), Vatican City.
What Types of vehicles can be covered?
- Vehicles must be under 20yrs in age and registered in the United Kingdom
- Violet cover only: vehicles must be under 10yrs to be covered in Europe
- Private cars or Motorcycles only.
- Vehicles must not exceed 3.5 tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight; 5.18 metres (17ft) in length; 1.90 metres (6ft 3in) in width; 2.44 metres (8ft) in height.
- A standard caravan or trailer of a proprietary make. The length must not exceed 23ft.
- Vehicles with a maximum of 8 passengers.
- Vehicles registered outside of the UK
- Minibuses, vans, commerical vehicles or limousines
- Hired or borrowed vehicles
- Kit cars or modified vehicles
- Vehicles exceeding the above size restrictions
